Summary of the thread
The audio system in a 2018 Seat Tarraco has stopped functioning, with an error stored in the memory, leading to suspicion of a defective display. The issue might be related to the head unit, as similar problems have been linked to head unit failures. Okay, no speaker crackle is interesting. In my case, it was a sign the amplifier was going bad. Since your dashboard controls appear normal, and you have an error code, it does sound like the head unit itself might be the culprit. I'd recommend taking it to a trusted workshop to confirm. They'll have the right tools to diagnose it properly.

I appreciate the response. There wasn't any speaker crackle, but the dashboard controls seem to be working fine. Is it likely that the head unit is defective?

I appreciate you sharing your experience. It gave me the confidence to take it to the dealer. As suspected, the head unit was indeed faulty. The repair cost me 725€, but at least my sound system is working perfectly again.

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar Bluetooth problem with my Peugeot a few years back. The whole sound system would just cut out randomly. Did you notice any speaker crackle before it completely died? Have you checked the dashboard controls to see if anything looks obviously wrong?
