Seat Tarraco Audio System Failure

I am writing to report a problem I am experiencing with the audio system in my 2018 Seat Tarraco with a diesel engine. The vehicle has approximately 185938 km on the odometer. Recently, the sound system has ceased functioning entirely. An error is stored in the error memory. I suspect the display is defective. I am seeking insights from anyone who may have encountered a similar issue. I would like to gather more information before proceeding with repairs.

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar Bluetooth problem with my Peugeot a few years back. The whole sound system would just cut out randomly. Did you notice any speaker crackle before it completely died? Have you checked the dashboard controls to see if anything looks obviously wrong?

Okay, no speaker crackle is interesting. In my case, it was a sign the amplifier was going bad. Since your dashboard controls appear normal, and you have an error code, it does sound like the head unit itself might be the culprit. I'd recommend taking it to a trusted workshop to confirm. They'll have the right tools to diagnose it properly.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. It gave me the confidence to take it to the dealer. As suspected, the head unit was indeed faulty. The repair cost me 725€, but at least my sound system is working perfectly again.
