Seat Tarraco Cruise Control Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Seat Tarraco developed a cruise control problem, with the system ceasing to function and an error indicating a defective cable or plug connection. Initial checks ruled out a blown fuse, leading to suspicions about the speed sensor or steering wheel clock spring. After considering self-inspection, it was advised to seek professional diagnosis to avoid further complications. The workshop confirmed a defective cable connection, re-seated the plug, and resolved the issue.

Interesting. No flickering, but I will keep an eye on the dashboard light from now on. Did you also have an error stored, or was it just not working? And was it also intermittent before failing completely?

Yes, there was an error stored, and it was intermittent for a short period. Given your technical knowledge, you could try checking the connections yourself. However, based on my experience, I would suggest taking it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and avoid further potential issues with the steering wheel or airbag system.

Took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turns out it was a defective cable connection as I suspected. They re-seated the plug and cleared the error. Total cost 95€. Thanks for your input.

I had a similar issue with the cruise control on my Tarraco. I noticed that sometimes the dashboard light for the cruise control would flicker before it stopped working altogether. Did you notice anything like that?
