Seat Tarraco Damping Adjustment Fault

Thanks, that's useful advice. When you say 'shock absorber units', do you mean all four corners of the car or just the front ones? And any tips for actually getting to the connectors? Is it a wheel-off job, or can you access them without removing the wheels? Regarding your question, it's bumpy all the time, regardless of the selected driving mode. That's what makes me think it's a basic electrical fault rather than a software glitch.

Okay, since the bumpiness is consistent across all driving modes, it definitely points to a hardware problem. And yes, by 'shock absorber units' I meant each one, on all four corners of the car. Access depends on the Tarraco's suspension design, but usually, you'll need to at least jack up the car and remove the wheel to get a clear view of the connectors on the shock absorbers. Sometimes you might get away with just turning the steering wheel all the way and having small hands. If you are not experienced, I would suggest a quick trip to a workshop.

Took the Tarraco to the workshop, and you were spot on. They checked the wiring and found a loose connection on one of the shock absorbers. They cleaned it, secured the plug, and cleared the error memory. Total cost was 95€. Everything seems to be working perfectly now. Massive thanks for your help!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my previous car, although it wasn't a Seat. The symptoms you describe – error message, warning light, and bumpy ride – definitely point towards a problem with the damping control system. Since you suspect a cable or plug connection, have you tried visually inspecting the connectors on the shock absorber units? Look for any signs of corrosion, damage, or if they're simply not fully seated. Sometimes, just unplugging and plugging them back in can resolve the issue. Make sure the car is off when doing this! Also, is it always bumpy, or only in certain modes? Some damping control systems have different settings.
