Seat Tarraco Diesel Engine Error Code Issue

I am writing to report an issue with my 2018 Seat Tarraco, diesel engine. An error code has been detected. The symptoms include an error stored in the error memory, an error message in the infotainment system, and an error message in the speedometer. The likely cause, according to my initial research, is incorrect vehicle coding. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? What steps did you take, and what was the eventual repair cost?

I have a Seat Ateca and experienced similar engine light issues. Did you check the error codes using an OBD2 scanner? The malfunction indicator can illuminate for numerous reasons.

Yes, I did use an OBD2 scanner. It indicated a fault related to the engine management system. The error message in the speedometer also appeared, along with a notification on the infotainment system. Do you recall what the specific error code was in your case?

My situation sounds identical. The engine diagnostics revealed the same issue: incorrect coding after a software application. Reset codes did not resolve the problem permanently. The recommended solution was a visit to the workshop for a complete software reinstallation and recalibration.

I appreciate your insight. I took the Tarraco to the workshop. After engine diagnostics, the technician determined the coding was incorrect. The error codes were reset, and the software was addressed. Malfunction indicator is now off. The cost was 360€. Thanks again for your assistance.
