Seat Tarraco diesel engine issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Seat Tarraco with a diesel engine is experiencing higher fuel consumption and poor starting, suspected to be due to a defective throttle valve or accelerator pedal module. Initial checks and throttle cleaning did not resolve the issue. The problem was confirmed to be a defective accelerator pedal module, leading to the installation of a new control valve and thorough throttle cleaning, which should restore normal fuel efficiency.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

The air intake is clear, and I tried cleaning the throttle, but maybe not well enough. You mentioned similar issues... Did you have to replace the throttle valve, or was there another solution? Did you notice any other unusual behavior?

If you've checked the air intake and tried cleaning the throttle, it could be a bigger problem. In my case, it was the throttle valve itself. Given the symptoms and your mileage, you should probably take it to a workshop. It's likely a defective accelerator pedal module is influencing the control valve.

Took the advice and brought the car in. The accelerator pedal module was defective, as suspected. A new control valve was installed, the throttle cleaned, and fuel efficiency should be back to normal. The cost was 205€.

That's interesting. I had a similar issue with my Tarraco, though the symptoms weren't exactly the same. Poor starting and increased fuel consumption definitely sound familiar. Have you checked the air intake for obstructions? Have you considered cleaning the throttle as a first step?
