Seat Tarraco Diesel Engine Issues

I'm having some issues with my 2018 Seat Tarraco, diesel engine, with approximately 56765 km on the clock and I would appreciate some guidance. The speedometer displays a warning light and the engine power is significantly reduced. Additionally, there is noticeable smoke when accelerating and a strong exhaust smell. I suspect a faulty exhaust back pressure sensor. Has anyone encountered a similar situation?

I had a similar problem with my Tarraco, although I didn't have the smoke. Reduced power and the exhaust smell were the same. Could be the diesel exhaust pressure sensor. They are known to fail.

Thanks for the quick reply! Did you also experience the reduced power and the exhaust smell at the same time? And how did you finally diagnose the pressure sensor?

Yes, the reduced power and smell were simultaneous. I used an OBD reader and got a code pointing to the pressure sensor. To be sure, I'd suggest having it checked at a workshop.

Just picked up the Seat from the workshop. It was the diesel exhaust pressure sensor. The part and labor came to 245€. The warning light is gone, and the engine is running smoothly again. Thanks for the help!
