Seat Tarraco Diesel Engine Trouble
Summary of the thread
A Seat Tarraco with a diesel engine was experiencing issues such as the check engine light being on, stalling at idle, and reduced engine power. The diagnostic indicated a 'rail pressure sensor signal faulty,' suggesting a faulty rail pressure sensor as the cause. The solution involved replacing the rail pressure sensor, which resolved the engine performance issues and restored normal fuel injection.

Fuel injection work? Nah, nothing recently. Just been using her as a family wagon. But a faulty rail pressure sensor… that would explain the sensor signal fault, wouldn't it? Was that the eventual solution for your problem?

Yep, rail pressure sensor. It's a common fault. Best get it sorted at a workshop. It impacts the fuel injection system and engine performance.

Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Rail pressure sensor was the culprit. 240€ later and she's purring like a kitten again. Fuel injection is back to normal and engine performance is great!

Sounds like a faulty rail pressure sensor. I had a similar issue with my Tarraco. Any recent work done on the fuel injection system?
