Seat Tarraco Diesel Reduced Engine Power

Reduced engine power and check engine light sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Tarraco. Symptoms were almost identical – sluggish acceleration, especially noticeable when engine idling. Did you check the air intake for any obstructions? Also, have you tried reading the error codes?

The error code pointed towards the throttle body. I've visually inspected the air intake; seems clear. You mentioned 'engine idling' – was your throttle body also identified as the culprit? Any specifics on what went wrong?

Yes, the error codes directed towards the throttle body for me as well. After a more thorough inspection it looked like it wasn't opening and closing properly. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop; they'll have better diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact cause. Could be the throttle position sensor, wiring, or the valve itself. Good luck.

Confirmed throttle valve failure. Replaced, total cost 265€. Thanks for the input.
