I haven't checked the voltage myself. How would I perform a voltage drop test? Is that something a novice can do, or should I take it to a professional for diagnosis?

A defective battery is likely. A voltage drop test can be tricky without the right tools and knowledge. Given the symptoms, it's probably best to get it checked by a workshop. I had a similar issue, and it turned out to be a bad cell in the battery. The charging system was fine.

Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed a defective battery. Replacement fixed the undervoltage issue. Total repair cost was 290€.

Sounds like a classic battery health issue. Have you checked the battery voltage with a multimeter? Is the charging system functioning correctly? A voltage drop test might be useful.
