Seat Tarraco Engine Problem

I am at my wits end! My Seat Tarraco (2018) with a gasoline engine is giving me headaches. It's done 190902 km, and the check engine light keeps popping up. I've noticed a definite reduction in engine power, and sometimes I see smoke when accelerating. Could this be a crankcase ventilation malfunction? What else could it even be?

Sounds like a crankcase ventilation issue, I had a similar problem with my Tarraco. Does it also feel like it's idling rough? Have you checked for any obvious leaks around the engine?

Rough idling sometimes, yes! Where exactly should I be looking for these leaks? Is it something I can spot easily, or do I need special equipment?

Yeah, those were the exact symptoms I had. The leak can be tricky to spot without proper tools. Honestly, unless you're really comfortable working on engines, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. A faulty crankcase ventilation can cause other issues if left unchecked. Better safe than sorry!

Took it to the workshop as suggested. It was indeed the crankcase ventilation valve. They replaced it, and the check engine light is gone, the smoke is gone and the car runs like new. Cost me 360€, but at least it's fixed. Thanks a lot for your help!
