Seat Tarraco fuel filler flap problem
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Seat Tarraco hybrid experienced a problem with the fuel filler flap refusing to open, likely due to a malfunctioning electric actuator. The issue was confirmed by an error message indicating some vehicle functions were unavailable. After considering potential causes, the owner took the vehicle to a garage, where the release mechanism and an electrical fault were repaired, resolving the problem.

Interesting that you had a similar problem with your Peugeot! Was your issue also intermittent, or did it just fail completely? And was it an easy fix, or did it require a trip to the workshop?

Mine was a complete failure in the end. I tried fiddling with it, but no luck. Bit the bullet and took it to a garage. They said it was a faulty release mechanism and probably an electrical fault. Saved myself a headache. So, yeah, looks like a trip to the workshop is in order for you too! Is it worth the hassle trying to fix it yourself?

Just got the Tarraco back from the garage. They replaced the release mechanism and sorted out some electrical fault that was causing the issue. Cost me around 210€, but at least I can fill up the tank without wrestling with the fuel filler door now. Thanks for the heads up!

Whoa, sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my Peugeot, a while back. Was the fuel filler flap cable release the culprit, or something else? Maybe the electric actuator?
