Seat Tarraco Heating Issue Solar Sensor Fault

Wiring and plug... where exactly is this solar sensor located? Is it easy to get to, or am I going to need to take half the dashboard apart? And the battery seems fine; the car starts without any issues. Could it still be the battery even if it seems okay?

Okay, so the sensor itself is usually located on top of the dashboard, often near the base of the windshield. It's designed to measure ambient light for the automatic headlights and sometimes HVAC functions. Given the error code and your symptoms, I'd say it's very likely the cable or plug connection. While the battery seems fine, a voltage drop during startup can sometimes trigger false codes, but it's less likely in your case. For 95€, it's probably cheaper and easier to have a workshop check the sensor, wiring, and plug connection. They'll have the proper tools and diagnostic equipment to pinpoint the problem quickly.

You're a lifesaver! I dropped it off at the workshop this morning, and you nailed it. They checked the sensor, wiring, and plug, and it was indeed a dodgy connection on the solar sensor. 95€ later, the error's gone, and the heating is working perfectly again. Thanks a bunch for your help!

Hmm, a solar sensor fault affecting your heating... that's a bit odd, isn't it? The daylight sensor usually affects things like automatic headlight activation and the infotainment screen brightness. However, modern cars are complex, and everything is interconnected. Have you checked the sensor's wiring and plug connection? A loose or corroded connector could definitely throw a code and cause weird symptoms. Also, is the car's battery in good condition? Low voltage can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins.
