Seat Tarraco Hybrid Brake Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Seat Tarraco hybrid is experiencing brake issues, with the pedal giving unusual feedback, possibly due to electrical interference affecting the brake calipers. A similar problem in another vehicle was linked to undervoltage impacting the ABS module, causing uneven brake pressure. It is suggested to check the electrical system for undervoltage before replacing brake components, which resolved the issue in this case.

Interesting! No ABS light, thankfully. But 'undervoltage affecting the ABS module'… that sounds expensive! How did the undervoltage damage the brake system on your Volvo?

While it didn't directly damage the brake calipers, the undervoltage caused the ABS to malfunction, leading to uneven pressure distribution in the brake system. This resulted in premature wear on the brake pads and a disconcerting feeling in the pedal. Given your symptoms, I'd strongly suggest having the electrical system checked for undervoltage before replacing any brake components. The workshop should be able to diagnose it quickly.

Just to let you know, I took the Tarraco to the workshop. You were right, they found undervoltage messing with the brake system! They sorted it, and the total cost was 240€. Thanks again for the help!

That's quite unusual. I experienced a similar issue with my previous Volvo. The brake pedal felt spongy, and the response was inconsistent. It turned out that undervoltage was affecting the ABS module, which in turn impacted the hydraulic brakes. Was your ABS light on at any point?
