Seat Tarraco Hybrid Combustion Misfires

I'm officially pulling my hair out. My 2023 Seat Tarraco hybrid is giving me serious grief. I'm getting combustion misfires detected. The engine runs rough, the check engine light is on, it jerks when I try to accelerate, and I feel like I'm driving a lawnmower with the reduced engine power. I'm thinking it might be a fuel injector issue? Has anyone else run into this?

Engine misfiring on a hybrid can be tricky. Does it happen at all speeds or only at certain RPMs? When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? Also, have you tried running any fuel injector cleaner through the system?

It seems to be happening mostly when I'm trying to accelerate, especially uphill. I haven't changed the spark plugs since I got the car, so probably time for that. About the fuel injector cleaner, is it really effective?

From your description, it does sound like a faulty fuel injector. I had a similar issue with my Tarraco, same symptoms. The fuel injector cleaner might provide temporary relief, but if it's a defective injector, replacement is the only permanent solution. I would recommend taking it to a workshop to confirm the diagnosis and get it replaced.

You were spot on, it was the fuel injector. I got it replaced, along with the spark plugs since they were already in there. The car is running like new again. The total was 515€, but totally worth it. Thanks again.
