Thank you for your input. I am not very familiar with car mechanics. Could you please explain what the fuel injector does and how it could cause these issues? And where exactly is the error memory? Is it something I can check myself?

The fuel injector is responsible for spraying fuel into the engine's cylinders. If it's clogged or faulty, it can cause those symptoms. However, since you mentioned the error memory, that's where the car stores diagnostic trouble codes. You would typically need an OBD2 scanner to read these codes. Given the symptoms and the fact that the engine sometimes doesn't start, it's probably best to take it to a workshop for a proper automotive diagnosis. It could still be the fuel pump, but a defective cable or plug connection of the component is also possible.

Thank you for the suggestion. I took it to a workshop, and it turned out to be a defective cable connection to the fuel pump. The auto repair cost was 95€, which is a relief. The car runs smoothly again.

I own a Tarraco too, and I experienced similar engine stalling issues a while back. Have you checked the fuel injector? Sometimes a faulty fuel injector can cause rough engine running and trigger the check engine light. It might be worth investigating before assuming it is the fuel pump itself. Also, what does the error memory say?
