Thanks, that's helpful! Fuel injection, engine misfire, these are new terms to me. How does the high pressure fuel pump connect to the fuel volume regulator being faulty, and what do car sensors have to do with all this?

The fuel volume regulator is part of the high pressure fuel pump assembly, so a fault there is plausible. Car sensors monitor things like fuel pressure. If the pressure isn't right, the sensors trigger the check engine light. If the high pressure pump is defective, that can affect the fuel injection and cause all the symptoms you mentioned. I'd recommend having it properly diagnosed at a workshop. They can confirm the issue and give you an accurate repair cost.

Took my Tarraco to the garage, and they confirmed it was the fuel volume regulator. Repair cost came to 1510€! But at least it's running smoothly again. Thanks a lot for your help!

Sounds familiar. I have a Seat Tarraco as well, and I had a similar issue with the check engine light and reduced power. Likely culprit could be the high pressure fuel pump. That thing controls how much fuel gets injected into the engine. When it fails, you'll see issues with fuel efficiency, engine misfire, and stalling. Are you experiencing any of those?
