Seat Tarraco Oil Level Sensor Issue

I'm getting an 'Oil Level Sensor Faulty' error on my 2018 Seat Tarraco diesel. The dashboard warning light is on, and the oil pressure warning lamp keeps lighting up which is concerning. I've scanned the error memory, and it confirms the oil level sensor signal is indeed faulty. Before I go replacing the whole sensor, has anyone else experienced this? The error suggests a possible defective cable or plug connection. Where exactly is this sensor located, and are there any common failure points I should be looking for, short of tearing the whole engine apart? It's driving me nuts!

I had something similar happen with my Tarraco. The oil monitoring system went haywire. Was the oil pressure warning light also flashing? For me, it turned out to be a faulty sensor connection. Worth checking before you replace the sensor itself.

When you say 'sensor connection,' are we talking about the plug itself, or a wire further down the line? Was it obvious when you looked at it, or did the workshop have to diagnose it?

Yeah, the oil pressure light was definitely flashing. In my case, it wasn't visibly obvious. I took it to a workshop and they checked the plug connection and wiring leading to the sensor. They cleaned the contacts, and that sorted it. Before that, I was about to change the sensor. I advise you to go to a workshop, they will quickly see if the signal comes from the sensor or not.

Took the Tarraco to the workshop as suggested. It was a dodgy connection to the oil level sensor, just like the error code suggested. They cleaned it and it's all good. Total cost was 95€ – not bad. Thanks a bunch for your help; without your experience, I would have been chasing ghosts.
