Seat Tarraco Parking Assist Problem

I am having trouble with the parking assist on my Seat Tarraco diesel from the year 2022. It's completely stopped working. The error memory shows a fault, and the garage suspects a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced this before? Is it common for the ultrasonic sensors to fail like this?

I had a similar issue with my Tarraco where the parking assist went completely haywire. Have you checked the rearview camera? Mine was displaying a distorted image before the parking assist failed entirely. It could also be related to the blind spot sensors. Are those working?

The rearview camera seems fine, and the blind spot sensors are still working. Was it a specific sensor that caused your problem, or just the whole system?

The camera and blind spot things were just symptoms in my case, not the root cause. It ended up being faulty wiring to one of the parking sensors. If they suspect a wiring issue, it's probably best to get it checked out at a workshop. Do you have the tools to diagnose faulty wiring yourself?

Took it to the workshop as suggested. It turns out there was faulty wiring to one of the ultrasonic sensors in the bumper. They replaced the damaged section of the cable and the total cost was 95€. Thanks for the advice.
