Seat Tarraco Rain Light Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Seat Tarraco exhibited a rain-light sensor fault, leading to issues like non-functional automatic wiping, headlight control, and speedometer dimming, with lights switching on unexpectedly. The problem was suspected to be more than just a faulty sensor. The solution involved replacing the gel pad under the windshield, which had bubbles forming, and recalibrating the sensor, resolving the issues effectively.

Integrated, yes, but on your Peugeot, did it also affect the speedometer dimming and cause the lights to switch on all the time? I'm trying to narrow down if it's the same electrical fault or something completely different.

Yeah, mine did the exact same. I'd bet money on the sensor being the problem. Best get the sensor calibration checked at a workshop.

Turns out bubbles forming under the gel pad of the windshield were the culprits. They replaced the gel pad and did a sensor calibration. 62€ later, and everything's back to normal! Thanks for the tip, it really pointed me in the right direction.

Whoa, sounds rough! Had something similar happen with my Peugeot. Is the rain sensor integrated with the headlight sensor on your Tarraco?
