Seat Tarraco transmission oil pressure sensor issue

Alright, I've got a bit of a head-scratcher. My 2018 Seat Tarraco with a diesel engine is throwing up a transmission oil pressure sensor fault. Mileage is at 54964 km. Engine warning light is on, and the gearbox is in emergency mode. It slips and shifts roughly. I'm suspecting it's the sensor itself, but wanted to see if anyone else has run into this?

I had something similar happen with my Tarraco. Engine light came on, and the gearbox felt really clunky. Did you check the transmission oil level? That sensor fault can pop up if it's low. Have you noticed any grinding noises when shifting?

Yeah, there is some noise, and the gear changes aren't clean. Where exactly did you check the oil level? Is it easy to get to?

I didn't check it myself to be honest, I took it straight to the shop because I didn't want to mess with the transmission. But the symptoms you're describing sound very familiar. The grinding and rough shifting were exactly what I experienced. They told me the oil level was critically low, triggering the sensor fault and putting the gearbox into limp mode. I would get it checked out ASAP, could save you from bigger transmission issues down the road.

Just wanted to let you know. You were spot on. Took it to the shop, and it was indeed the transmission oil level being too low, causing the sensor fault. 365€ later and it's running smooth again. Thanks for the help!
