Seat Toledo Automatic Transmission Problems

My 2014 Seat Toledo with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The automatic transmission is acting up with shifting all over the place. The transmission indicator light keeps popping on, and sometimes it feels like the automatic transmission is stuck in emergency mode. The automatic transmission doesn't shift as usual. Any ideas what could be causing these transmission problems?

Implausible shifting and the transmission light are worrying. I'm no expert, but have you checked the basics like fluid levels? Maybe it's something simple like low transmission oil? When was the last time the transmission oil was changed? Is the battery in good condition? A weak battery can cause weird electrical issues that affect the transmission.

How would I check the transmission oil level on my 2014 Toledo? Is it something I can do myself, or do I need special tools?

Checking the transmission oil level yourself can be tricky on some cars. It might not have a dipstick like the engine oil. Given the symptoms, the light, shifting issues, and emergency mode, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the automatic transmission and check the transmission oil condition. Ignoring it could lead to more expensive repairs.

Toledo is running well. The automatic transmission oil was worn, and there were undervoltage issues. They changed the transmission oil and fixed the electrical problem. It cost 240€. The transmission is performing as it should.
