Seat Toledo Diesel Poor Starting Issue

My Seat Toledo from 2005, diesel engine, keeps having this weird problem. The Terminal 30 continuous plus seems to cut out sometimes, and it's making it hard to start. I'm thinking it could be a dead or bad battery, but maybe it's the Charging System or a Short Circuit in the Wiring Harness. Any ideas before I get too deep into it?

That's a tricky one! I remember having something similar with my Toledo. Have you looked at the Voltage Drop across the main Fuse Box? Might be worth checking before you start digging into the Wiring Harness.

Voltage Drop across the Fuse Box, you reckon? Can you tell me what I should be looking for? Also, where's the main Fuse Box? Is it in the engine bay or under the dash?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. Yes, I had similar starting trouble. The Fuse Box I mean is the one in the engine bay. Honestly, if you're not super comfortable with electrical stuff, I'd suggest taking it to a shop. Could save you a lot of trouble.

It was a heavily discharged battery, just like I thought. Turns out it was defective and wouldn't hold a charge. Replacement and a diagnostic check set me back 290€. Thanks for the pointers.
