Seat Toledo Diesel rough idle error code

My 2005 Seat Toledo with a diesel engine is throwing an error code and idling rough at 120275 km. I suspect a defective engine mount. I checked the basics, and the error memory points towards the engine mount. The likely culprit seems to be a defective cable or plug connection to the component. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I had a similar issue with my Toledo, though I'm unsure of the exact error code. The uneven idling and error memory suggest engine mount wear. Have you visually inspected the rubber mount and the mounting bracket for damage or wear? Sometimes the rubber deteriorates, causing instability.

Thanks for the quick reply. When you say rubber mount, do you mean the actual rubber part of the engine mount itself? And is the mounting bracket the metal piece that holds the mount in place?

Yes, by rubber mount, I mean the actual rubber component of the engine mount. It's designed to absorb vibrations. The mounting bracket is indeed the metal structure securing the mount. Given your diagnostic indicates a defective connection and the symptoms align, it’s probably best to have it professionally inspected at a workshop. They can properly diagnose the electrical issue and assess the extent of the mount wear.

Problem resolved. The workshop confirmed the error code indicated a faulty connection. Replacing the mount and fixing the connector smoothed out the idling. It cost 95€.
