Seat Toledo Door Lock Problem

My 2006 Seat Toledo with a gasoline engine is doing my head in. The driver's side door won't lock or unlock anymore using the automatic locks! The mileage is at 144825 km. I'm guessing it's something electrical, maybe the door switch or a bad connection. Anyone had this before?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my Toledo's automatic locks. Check the wiring harness where it goes into the door. Could be a broken wire or a loose plug. Is it just one door, or all of them?

Cheers! It's just the driver's door that's playing up. Where exactly should I be looking on the wiring harness? Is it easy to get to, or do I need to take the whole door apart?

Yep, mine was also just one door. Honestly, unless you're really confident with electrics, I'd get a workshop to take a look. Could be a pain to trace the fault yourself. They'll have the right tools to check the wiring and the door latch properly. I'm pretty sure it will be just a defective plug or cable connection.

Just got the Toledo back from the shop. You nailed it! They found a dodgy connection in the wiring harness of the door latch. 95€ all in. Thanks a lot for the help!
