Seat Toledo Electrical Fault and Navigation Failure

Alright, I'm having some issues with my 2015 Seat Toledo diesel. I'm getting a general electrical malfunction error, and my navigation system is completely dead. Could this be a vehicle software problem?

I also own a Toledo, although I do not remember having the same manufacturing year. Your symptoms sound like a software malfunction. The navigation system is probably linked to the main control module. Is the error memory showing a specific code?

Yes, there is an error code stored, but I didn't write it down. The mechanic mentioned something about 'implausible programming' of a control unit. What exactly does 'control module' mean in this context?

If they mentioned 'implausible programming,' it's highly likely a vehicle software issue. The control module is basically the car's computer, managing various functions. A software bug can cause all sorts of weird behavior. I would recommend taking it to a workshop and having them perform a software refresh.

Took it to the shop, and you were spot on! They reprogrammed the control module, and everything seems to be working fine now. Cost me 240€. Thanks for the advice!
