Seat Toledo engine power loss
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Seat Toledo experienced engine power loss and an illuminated check engine light, suspected to be due to a defective throttle valve. The issue was characterized by a delayed response when pressing the accelerator pedal. A similar problem was resolved by addressing a faulty throttle body, specifically the throttle sensor. After confirmation by a mechanic, replacing the throttle body resolved the issue, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Response delay, yes, now that you mention it. It's not immediate when I press the gas pedal. What was the issue with yours?

Yep, same symptoms. For me, it turned out to be a faulty throttle body, specifically the throttle sensor inside it. The car went into limp mode a few times. I'd suggest getting it checked out by a mechanic to confirm. They'll probably check the air intake too.

Thanks for the insight. I went to the workshop and they confirmed it was the throttle body. It cost me 265€ to get it sorted, but the Toledo is running smoothly again. No more limp mode.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Toledo some time ago. Reduced engine power and the check engine light kept popping up. Did you notice any response delay when pressing the accelerator pedal?
