That sounds like it could be the ignition switch. Does the dashboard light illuminate when you insert the ignition key? Have you experienced any starting issue before this happened?

The dashboard light does illuminate with the ignition key. Regarding starting issues, what should I look for?

Okay, since the dashboard light is on, it's likely not a completely dead battery. Given the symptoms, a faulty ignition switch seems plausible, especially if the fuse related to it is defective. It might be best to have a workshop diagnose it to confirm.

I wanted to thank you for your advice. The issue was indeed related to the ignition switch. A defective fuse was the culprit. The repair cost 52€.
