Seat Toledo mixture preparation error
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Seat Toledo is experiencing a mixture preparation error, leading to reduced engine power, a check engine light, rough running, jerking during acceleration, and occasional stalling at idle. Initial inspection ruled out intake manifold leaks, and a defective injection valve or injector was suspected. After further diagnostics at a workshop, defective injection valves were confirmed as the cause, and replacing them resolved the issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for your quick reply! I appreciate it. Did your Renault also stall at idle and jerk when accelerating? And were there any issues with the catalytic converter due to the bad mixture?

Yep, stalling and jerking were definitely part of the fun. Never had cat issues, but I caught it relatively early. A faulty MAF sensor was the core of the problem. Honestly, with those symptoms, I'd say get it to a workshop. They can run proper diagnostics.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It sounds like my issue is indeed similar. I took your advice and brought the car to a workshop, and after inspection they confirmed that the injection valves were defective. The repair, including new valves and labor, came out to 515€. Hopefully, this finally resolves the mixture preparation error!

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had something similar happen with my old Renault Megane. Check engine light, the works. Have you checked your oxygen sensor or considered a potential issue with the mass airflow sensor? It could be messing with your air-fuel ratio.
