Seat Toledo Multifunction Steering Wheel Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Seat Toledo experienced a malfunction with its multifunction steering wheel, with an error logged in the error memory. Preliminary diagnostics suggested a defective cable connection within the steering wheel as the likely cause. A similar issue was noted by another owner, who recommended checking the electrical fault at a workshop. The problem was confirmed to be the cable connection, and the repair was completed.

You mentioned a steering column issue. Could you elaborate on the symptoms you experienced? Did your error memory also log a corresponding fault?

Yep, same thing. The malfunction indicator lit up randomly, and then the steering wheel controls went dead. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can check the electrical fault.

The cable connection within the steering wheel was indeed the source of the malfunction. The repair cost amounted to 95€.

Sounds like a connectivity problem. My Toledo had similar issues, but it was the steering column. Did the malfunction indicator light up?
