Seat Toledo Oil Pressure Warning
Summary of the thread
The 2003 Seat Toledo displayed an oil pressure warning light, suspected to be due to engine oil contamination from an exceeded maintenance interval. There were no visible oil leaks, leading to concerns about potential oil sludge. A similar issue was resolved by checking the oil filter and addressing oil sludge. Ultimately, a professional inspection confirmed oil contamination, and the problem was resolved with an oil change, new oil filter, and cleaning, which turned off the warning light.

Interesting. When you had this issue, did you also notice any oil leaks, or was it primarily the oil pressure warning and the oil color?

No visible leaks, just the light and the nasty oil sludge. If the oil filter isn't the culprit, I'd suggest getting it checked professionally. Could save you a bigger headache later.

Acknowledged, and thank you for sharing your experience. It appears you were correct. The workshop confirmed oil contamination due to an exceeded maintenance interval. An oil change, new oil filter, and cleaning cost 165€. The oil pressure warning lamp is now off.

Whoa, sounds rough! Had something similar happen with my Toledo. The oil pressure light came on, and the oil color was kinda sludgy. Did you check the oil filter? It could be clogged. Feels like when your arteries get blocked!
