Seat Toledo Overheating Issue

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the coolant level, and it's fine. The fan clutch seems okay, visually at least. When your Renault Megane overheated, did the temperature rise quickly, or was it a gradual increase? What was the fix?

The temperature increase was gradual at first, but got quicker as the problem got worse. It was a faulty connection to the fan, caused by corrosion on a plug. Honestly, I’d recommend getting it checked at a workshop. They'll have the proper tools to diagnose it correctly and avoid further temperature control issues.

I checked the usual suspects myself, then took it to a shop. It was a corroded connector on the fan control module, as suspected. A new connector and some cleanup later, the engine cooling is working perfectly again. Total cost: 95€.

Vehicle overheating can be a real pain. I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane, although that was a diesel. The engine temperature would creep up, especially in traffic. Have you checked the fan clutch? Is the coolant level correct?
