Seat Toledo Sunroof Error After Coding

I'm experiencing a frustrating issue with the sunroof on my 2006 Seat Toledo with a gasoline engine. The car has 171056 km on the clock. I'm getting a 'sunroof not initialized' error. The sunblind is stuck, and the convertible top won't open or close. It seems to have happened after some coding was carried out on the vehicle. The sunblind now refuses to retract or extend. I suspect it's related to the coding messing with the sunroof control but I'm not sure where to start with sunroof troubleshooting. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my Toledo's sunroof system after some aftermarket work. Did you check the sunroof control module? It might need a reset or recalibration.

Thanks for the quick reply. When you say reset or recalibration, do you mean through the diagnostic port with a tool, or is there a manual procedure? Any specific steps you remember?

Yes, it was a diagnostic tool reset. I didn't do it myself. I took it to a workshop as I wasn't comfortable messing with the coding. They sorted out the sunroof calibration pretty quickly.

The issue is now resolved. A local specialist diagnosed it as a corrupted sunroof control module due to the coding changes. They reset and recalibrated the sunroof system. Cost 75€, but everything is working perfectly again. Thanks for the advice!
