Seat Toledo System Readiness Check Issue

My Seat Toledo built in is throwing a system readiness check incomplete error. The error is stored and shows up in the speedometer. It all started after someone scanned the car with an OBD2 tool. I'm assuming a computer reset is necessary? Anyone else run into this before a vehicle inspection?

Summary of the thread

A Seat Toledo was experiencing a system readiness check incomplete error, which appeared after an OBD2 scan. The issue included a check engine light and an error message on the dash. A similar problem was resolved by performing a drive cycle, which eventually cleared the error without further intervention.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

OBD readiness issues are the worst! I had something similar happen with my Toledo. I think they cleared some codes when I had it checked, and then the readiness monitors wouldn't set. Did the check engine light come on?

The check engine light is on, and there's an error message on the dash. What did you do to fix yours? Was it a big deal?

Yeah, mine was doing the exact same thing. Check engine light, the whole shebang. I couldn't get it to pass the OBD readiness test for emissions. I tried the whole drive cycle thing, but no luck. Ended up taking it to a workshop, and they sorted it out.

It turned out the car was fine. The check engine light went away after a drive cycle. It just needed some time after diagnostics. Thanks for the input!
