Seat Toledo Washer System Problem

I have a 2016 Seat Toledo with a gasoline engine, currently with high mileage. My headlight cleaning system seems to have stopped working. Also, the windshield washer system no longer works. I suspect a defective cable connection to the pump or a faulty relay. Has anyone else encountered this?

I also own a Toledo and experienced a very similar issue. The windshield washer stopped working entirely. Have you checked the headlight cleaning system pump? It might be the culprit, as they are often interconnected.

That is interesting. I had not considered that the headlight cleaning system could impact the windshield washer. Could you please elaborate on how you diagnosed the headlight cleaning system pump as the source of the problem?

Certainly. In my case, the windshield washer stopped working at the same time. If the headlight washer pump fails, it can indeed affect the windshield washer. The best course of action might be to have a workshop inspect the relevant connections, as that sorted my problem.

Thank you for the information. I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. The mechanic confirmed a defective connection to the pump, and also found a clog in the hose, probably due to prolonged malfunction. The final cost was 165€, including parts and labor. Everything is working perfectly now.
