Refrigerant pressure seems normal, though I haven't properly checked the AC high and low side pressures. As far as the compressor clutch goes, how would I check that? Is there a way to test the control unit?

Given the error codes and the fact that the AC isn't engaging, a faulty control unit is likely. I would advise you to have it checked by a qualified workshop. They have the tools to properly diagnose and replace it.

Thanks for the input! Turns out you were spot on. The workshop confirmed it was indeed the AC control unit. Cost me a hefty 980€ to replace, but at least I'm not sweating bullets anymore.

I also own a Fiat Sedici, I had similar symptoms. Have you checked the refrigerant pressure? Also, can you confirm whether the compressor clutch is engaging when you switch on the AC?
