Hey, thanks for the quick reply, appreciate it! My Hyundai recently clocked in 87108 KM and got serviced back then. So far, no accidents or major events, fingers crossed. 🤞 It's more of sudden hitch, you know! Will get the error codes and share them here next. Trusting your gut on this one and will check the linkage too. Thanks again!

Hey, no problem at all, happy to help! Your Hyundai seems well-cared for with regular servicing, that's great. 👍 Since it's been relatively quiet on the major event front - no accidents or the like - it still could be something minor causing the trouble, such as the linkage issue I had. Good call on getting the error codes, it will definitely shed more light on what could be going wrong under the hood. Do share them once you have 'em. Remember, while I'm confident about my guess, it's always best to get a professional to check it over, especially if the check engine light is on. In the meantime, you might want to check on the tank flap as you initially suspected, sometimes it might contribute to the problem if it doesn't shut properly. 🤔 Keep me posted! Wishing your Hyundai a speedy recovery. 🏎️💨

Sound advice there! I think along with your valuable inputs, getting a professional to have a thorough look is a dull-proof plan. Oh, and I'm checking the tank flap too, better safe than sorry, right! You’ve been a great help. Will surely post the error codes once I have them. Appreciate your quick responses and the well-wishes! Fingers crossed, hope my Hyundai is back on track soon. 🚗💨 Thanks again!

Hey! Sounds like a similar issue I had with my 2018 Hyundai Tucson, also a petrol engine. I'm no expert, but I do tinker around with cars a bit. Turns out my problem was a defective linkage. I had to get it replaced; my trusty workshop did a great job. Cost me around 210 Euro to get it sorted, which ain't too bad. Just out of curiosity, has your car experienced any particular events like accidents or service visits etc., recently? That might give a better picture. And of course, sharing the error code can help us dig deeper and provide a more specific solution. Let me know, happy to help further. Good luck!
