Hey, thanks for the response! I really appreciate it. Ah, a valve issue huh? Haven't thought about that, I’ll definitely have a look into it. As for other symptoms with the Bongo... Well, it tends to jerk a bit during acceleration. Other than that, nothing I can pin down. And hey, before I forget, the Bongo has run about 69358 KM km now, if that helps any. Had it last serviced not too long ago. Guess I might need to swing by the mechanics again, huh?

Hey, no problem, always glad to help! That jerk during acceleration could be a number of things; it could be the turbo, fuel injectors, or even just a simple air filter issue. Given the mileage of your Bongo, it's roughly in the same ballpark as my Demio was when I had to start looking at these parts. It would be a wise idea to have them checked at least. Don't want to run into sudden troubles out there, right? Last but not least, I'd suggest getting the tires checked for punctures or leaks apart from the valve. Low tire pressure usually scales down to damage, leaks or temperature changes. Best to check on those tire pressure monitor systems if your Bongo has one. Heading back to that mechanic would be a good call. And don’t forget to let us know how it goes. Hope your Bongo gets back to running smoothly soon!

Hey, that’s solid advice right there! Turbo, injectors, air filter - noted, I'll have those checked. I do remember the mechanic mentioning something about tire pressure monitor systems last time around, so I guess it’s time to revisit that chat. Guess the Bongo needs a bit of TLC before it’s back to its old zoom zoom self, haha. Appreciate the tips! I'll keep the forum updated once I get back from the mechanic. Keep the rubber side down, right? See ya around!

Hey there! Couple years ago, I had a similar issue with my 1998 Mazda Demio. Not a car expert here, but I've found my way around few problems. I took my Demio to the local workshop and they finally solved it. Apparently, it was a faulty valve stem contributing to the constant tire pressure loss. Cost me about 625€. About your Bongo, -- the engine not running smoothly could be something else. Can you provide more info about any other symptoms? Be glad to throw some ideas your way based on my experience with my Demio.
