Hey! Thanks for the quick reply! Your experience sounds a lot like what I'm dealing with on my Caddy. Electrical issues, right? They're a right pain in the rear. Sorry to be a bother, but would you happen to remember roughly how much the garage charged you for the fix? Also, have you run into any other surprises related to this since you got it sorted? Thanks again, it's really a lifesaver to talk to someone who's been down the same road. Cheers!

Hey there, No bugging at all! Just glad to help a fellow driver out. Yah, those electrical gremlins were a real nightmare, no joke. In terms of the old wallet, the damage was around 155.00 €. That was to cover getting the cable or plug connection from the sensor sorted. So, yeah, not exactly cheap but also not the end of the world. The good news is, since seeing the mechanic, the problem was properly fixed. Touchwood, the blasted outdoor temperature sensor's been behaving itself ever since! Hope this puts your mind at ease a little! Just get down to a reliable auto shop and they should be able to sort it for you. Best of luck!

Hey there, Cheers for the insight and the approx cost as well - that's really helpful! Bit of a punch to the pocket it may be, but can't do without the bloody blower, can I? Especially since winter is fast approaching! I've got the name of a pretty reliable auto shop from a that I guess I'll try out for this. It's comforting to hear that your troubles were sorted out completely and they stayed that way. I'm hoping it's the same case with my Caddy. You've definitely given me a clearer idea of what I'm about to tackle. Thanks again for the help. It's much appreciated and I just might owe you a beer. Here's to hoping my temp sensor keeps its act together post this! Take care and safe driving! Cheers!

Hey there, Had something similar with my 2012 VW Golf not long ago. The heater was blowing lukewarm air and I also had a pesky warning light popping up. Turned out to be a faulty sensor plug connection. Trust me, chasing down electrical gremlins isn't my idea of a good time. Took it down to my local garage, and the fellas there did quite a bit of detective work. Ended up having to clean up the plug, reseat it and fix a bit of wire damage. They said a defective sensor connection could indeed cause not just the heat issues I was experiencing, but also throw on the warning lights. Evidently, it was not a small issue, since those sensors, they are responsible for lots of things and if they start to act up, it can lead to other hardships. So you might wanna take a closer look there. Hope this helps out good luck with it!
