Cheers for the input! So my Tarraco has clocked about 61849 km. No previous transmission work has ever been done, and it got its full service recently. Guess I should consider your advice on topping up the transmission oil. Surely hoping it won't be an expensive fix. Appreciate your insight!

Hey there! Nice to hear back from you. With 61849 km on your Tarraco, I'd definitely recommend a transmission oil check. It's kind of a routine maintenance thing around this mileage, especially considering the issues you're experiencing. I was really relieved when adding oil fixed the noises and shifting problems with my Ateca. Do remember, for some cars, you got to use the specific transmission oil recommended by the manufacturer, so keep that in mind while you're at the workshop. Also, the costs shouldn't break the bank. Should be around the same range as mine was - about 365 Euro. It ultimately depends on the garage you go to and the current prices of transmission oil in your area. Hope your Tarraco gets back to smooth crusing like it deserves! Let me know how it goes. Cheers!

Thanks a ton for your response! That definitely clears my apprehension. You're right, I ought to get the transmission oil checked, considering the mileage and noises. I'll make sure about the specific transmission oil as per the manufacturer's recommendation too. It's great to hear it shouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. Fingers crossed for a smooth ride post-workshop visit. Will certainly keep you posted on how it goes. Thanks for the advice! Really appreciate it. Cheers!

Hey there! I'm no expert, but I do have some experience with cars. I had a similar issue with my 2021 Seat Ateca. Sounds like you might be running low on transmission oil. Just like you, I was hearing all sorts of whacking noises. I took my car to the local workshop, and the guys there topped up the transmission oil for me. Although you're looking at a different model, the issue sounds pretty identical. It cost me about 365 Euro to get everything sorted, but the ride's been silky smooth since then. Of course, every car's kinda unique, so it'd be great if you could share a bit more info about your Tarraco like mileage, any previous transmission work etc. Hope this helps a bit!
