Hiya, Cheers for sharing got a problem exactly like that with my Cerato. Right down to the non-working heated windows and mirror mess. I'm relieved to hear it's not going to be an absolute nightmare to fix. Just out of curiosity, can you remember how much you forked over to fix that issue? Also, has anything else popped up since you got it sorted? I'm trying to anticipate any unexpected surprises that might be waiting for me. Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it!

Hey there, Yeah, I remember that little problem quite well. I ended up parting with 155 Euro to get that cable connection to the mirror and plug on the mirror glass both fixed and de-rusted. The mechanic didn't rob me blind, so I'd say it was money well spent considering the hassle it saved me. As for other surprises, well, my car's been behaving itself since the fix up. Oh, and the exterior mirror heating that was playing up? Sorted it right out. So, you can look forward to toasty warm mirrors in the cold mornings! Best of luck with your car, hope it all goes smoothly for you too.

It's really good to hear that your car's been going smoothly and the mirror issue got sorted with the fix. It gives me hope for my little Cerato too! Thanks again. I appreciate you taking out time to respond. I'll update you once I've gotten everything sorted. Cheers!

Hey! Had a similar issue with my '02 Kia Spectra, turned out being a defective cable connection to the mirror, and the plug connection on the mirror glass was oxidized. It was a bit of a pain in the arse because the exterior mirror heating was on the fritz too, just like yours. No worries though, it's kinda standard procedure for any decent mechanic. When I took mine to the garage the last time, they had to strip the door cards off to get to the mirror assembly. They then replaced the defective cable and cleaned the plug connections. It didn't spiral into anything serious, but it's definitely something you'd want sorted out soon, as it directly affects your visibility in certain conditions. Hope this helps, and best of luck with the repair work!
