Hey there, thanks for your advice! Good to know you managed to sort out your issue with the professional help. It's a 1.6L version, and it's got about 54339 km on it so far. I guess I'll also leave it to the experts this time and take it to the shop for a full check-up and cleaning. Sure worth the money if it'll keep the ol' girl running smoothly. Let's see what they find about that back pressure sensor. Thanks again!
Hey, no problem at all! It's always good to share insights and experiences, we're all dealing with our quirky cars here, right? Yeah, with that mileage and being a 1.6L, some bit of attention and a little professional magic should do the trick. Just a thought about the back pressure sensor you've been suspecting. I mean, it might be, but these are usually quite reliable in the Fiats. Nevertheless, good call on getting it checked, just to rule it out. Remember to keep an eye on your O2 sensors as well, sometimes they get messed up because of the black smoke. And don't forget to update us once you get it sorted, always good to learn for future troubleshooting. Good luck!
Thanks! Good point on the O2 sensors, didn't think of that earlier. I really appreciate your input and for talking me through it. Here's hoping it's nothing too serious. Will definitely keep you guys posted once she's yanked up on the hydraulic jack and they've figured out what's happening down there. Who knows, might save someone else a headache in the future. Cheers!
Hey, I've had a similar experience with my '07 Fiat Bravo, not an expert but have some hands-on with cars. My DPF was severely overloaded too! I thought I could handle it myself but ended up taking it to the mechanic. They did a deep cleaning, and also recommended and performed a few other procedures including checking the sensors. Came to about 1325€, but sorted the issue. Maybe check it out in a professional car service shop? By the way, you mentioned '09 Fiat Sedici, but is it a 1.6 or 2.0L version, and how many miles are on it? This might help to figure out and deal with the issue more accurately.
