Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience with your '12 CT. Sounds like it was a bit of a hassle but ultimately got sorted out. Do you recall roughly how much you had to cough up for the glow plug replacement? And have you noticed anything else off since then? I might have to deal with the same situation here with my GS. Cheers!

Howdy! Yeah, I remember the cost quite clearly because it was pretty steep – had to part with 560€ to get the glow plug fixed. But honestly, it was worth every penny considering the peace of mind I got after it was sorted. Since then, everything's been smooth sailing. And oh, the parking heater malfunction you mentioned earlier? Well, my mechanic sorted it out when he was dealing with the glow plug issue, no additional problems there. Hope this helps and your '09 GS gets back on the road soon. Cheers!

Cheers! Thanks for the insight, you've been a huge help. Sounds like there's a hefty bill waiting for me, but hey, if it gets my '09 GS running smoothly again, I guess it's worth it. Glad to hear you've had no issues since. I'll get my mechanic to check the glow plug, as well as the parking heater. Looking forward to a smooth ride soon. Catch you around!

Hey there, I've got a '12 Lexus CT and had a similar issue some time ago, though mine was down to a defective glow plug, not sure if it's the same issue you've got. In my experience, it's usually something pretty serious. Start-up was a nightmare, similar to what your ride's going through. Took it to my local garage and they pinpointed the issue pretty quick - those blokes knew their stuff. Basically, they had to replace the faulty glow plug and it was no small job. Ended up being in the shop for a good couple of days. Anyway, get your mechanic to check it out. Sure, it's a bit of a pain, but take it from me, you'd be a lot better off dealing with it sooner rather than later. All the best!
