Hey there! I appreciate the insight. I sort of figured the cable might be an issue, but haven't had a chance to dive deeper yet. Regarding vehicle info, it has seen some good days, sitting at a proud 172613 KM. Last service was done a while back, so probably a visit to my mechanic is due. I'll definitely get that warning light checked out too. Thanks for the advice! Safe travels.

Hello again! The milemeter reading sure does elaborate a bit. Given the age and the kilometers on your ride, it sort of still circles back to my initial guess. A worn out cable can give you a rough time without even realizing it. My helping also suggested doing a complete coolant system check, including a thorough look at the water pump, hoses, and radiator. Plus, an overdue servicing may also lead to various mechanical glitches. Your warning light could be signalling a host of various things – sometimes it’s a minor issue like a faulty sensor, or sometimes it could be more serious. Anyway, like I said, your best move would be to get that light checked to straighten things up. As for the servicing, if you got the funds, I'd definitely suggest a complete check-up. In my case, paying that 225 Euro was totally worth it. Plus, the peace of mind that comes knowing your ride is reliable is priceless. Stay safe on the road and let us know how it goes!

Hey! Sounds like we're singing from the same sheet of music! I'm honestly relieved it's probably not something major. Yeah, the mileage is substantial - served me well so far, hopefully will continue to do so. I'll be getting the coolant system checked out comprehensively, along with deciphering the warning light. And you're right, an overall service is no doubt needed – I’ll get around to booking that too. The safety and peace of mind are indeed invaluable. Appreciate the advice and will keep you all posted. Safe driving to you too.

Hey! Can relate a bit, ran into a similar issue with my 2005 Lexus IS not so long ago. I'd classify myself as having some car experience, but definitely not an expert. However - my bet's on a dodgy cable! Turned out for me, the cable on the pump/control unit was defective. Bit of a nuisance, really. My mechanic took a closer look, confirmed my suspicion and replaced the cable. Sorted the job out for about 225 Euro. Not particularly cheap, you could say, but got the job sorted and haven't had any trouble since. Mind sharing a bit more vehicle info? - might help pin down your issue. Also, consider having that warning light deciphered, it could give you more clues. Drive safe!
