Hey folks! Just reading your convo, and it brought back memories. I had the same issue with my 2013 Nissan Pixo. It turned out to be a combination of both a wonky siren and a dodgy cable. Had a decent mechanic sort it out for me. By the way, do you guys remember what you had to shell out to get the issues fixed? And has anything else popped up related to that since you got it fixed? Just trying to keep an eye out for what could be coming up next. Thanks a bunch!

Hey bud, yeah it's not a bad memory at all. Got my siren alarm sorted and yup, it was the cable connection that was messing things up. The mechanic did a fine job patching it up. As for the cost, it was all sorted for a reasonable 155 Euro. Haven't had any alarm-related issues since then, car's been behaving itself pretty nicely. So yeah, get your Pixo checked out; could be something as simple as a cable. Cheers!

Hey guys, thanks a lot for your insights! It's feeling less like a major catastrophe now, haha. I'm glad your cars have been behaving post-repairs. In terms of costs, I'm prepared for it to be slightly higher here, since I live in a pricier part of town. But, your ballpark figures at least give me an idea of what to expect. And with the cable issue thrown in the mix, it's something I'll point out to the mechanic too. Didn't consider that initially. I'll aim to get my Pixo checked out by next week. If it turns out to be straightforward like yours, I'll be over the moon. You guys are lifesavers, cheers! Will let you guys know how it pans out. Thanks again for all the advice. Much appreciated!

Hey, interestingly enough, I drive a 2014 Nissan Juke. Ran into a similar situation a while back. The issue was actually with a defective cable connection. Your suspicion might be spot on, but don't rule out that it could be a cable problem as well. My alarm system was going haywire too. Dropped by the garage and they found that some of the cables had come loose. Got them fixed up properly and it's been smooth sailing since then. Didn't have to worry about it being a serious issue at all, but worth getting it checked just in case. Keep in mind, these things sometimes seem more menacing than they actually are. Cheers!
