Hello, thanks for chipping in! Now about my Mazda CX-5, there ain't been no unusual smoke or leaks but it did make a weird grinding noise the other day when I attempted to rev it up a bit. Was honestly a bit freaked out! I got it last serviced at 211110 KM, and it's been mostly smooth sailing till this Ad-Blue mess started. When you said "minor issues", what kind of stuff are you referring to exactly? Should I get myself ready to bust out some more cash? Seems like I'd better aim to find a nice workshop downtown tomorrow to have a check. Thanks again for the guidance. Stay cool!
Well hey again! I’m really sorry to hear that you've encountered some troubles with your Mazda. Regarding that weird grinding noise – it sounds like it could be linked to the low pressure in the Ad-Blue system. When it fails, it can lead to engine malfunctions or even damage the DPF filter. To avoid any further trouble, I’d get it checked out pronto. Might cost you a pretty penny but it’s worth it in the long run. By "minor issues", I mean things that might not be as obvious or immediate. For example, after replacing the tank, you might notice a drop in fuel efficiency or a bit more engine noise than usual. It might not seem like much, but left unattended these can potentially cause more problems down the line. So, after your car's fixed, do keep an eye and ear out! I genuinely hope it’s just the Ad-Blue tank issue and nothing major. Do let us know what your mechanic says, maybe it'll be helpful for others in our community. Until then, fingers crossed for you! Drive safe.
Hey, super grateful for your reply! Got it, I'll definitely keep an eye out for those not so obvious issues. Sounds like these could snowball into something more painful and expensive down the line. I'm gonna hustle to find a good auto shop tomorrow and get this Ad-Blue system issue sorted, along with whatever that grinding noise is about. It's an old bird, my Mazda, but we've been through a lot together. Gotta take good care of her. Thanks again for your super helpful advice. Will keep you guys posted about the progress. Till then, stay pedal to the metal, my! Drive safe and happy riding!
Hey! I also had a similar issue with my 2015 Mazda CX-5 Diesel not long ago. As a guy with some moderate car knowledge, I'd definitely say your hunch might be spot on, it does sound like an Ad-Blue tank issue. With my Mazda 3, the Ad-Blue tank was defective and had to be replaced. Tools in hand, I decided to go my trusted workshop. The guys there know their stuff and always do an excellent job. They did a diagnostic, confirmed my suspicions, and got right to work. The fix set me back a little over 1600 Euro, but hey, the car's running smooth now! Your Mazda 2 likely has a similar setup, and if the Ad-Blue tank is at fault, it might cost you about the same. Can you share more about your car's condition? Any strange noises, smoke, or obvious leaks? It'll help further diagnose. Also, keep this in mind, once you've dealt with the big stuff, it's equally important to keep an eye out for any minor issues that may need fixing after. Cheers!
