Seeking Advice on 2019 Dacia Sandero Diesel: Check Engine Light, DPF Regeneration, and Ad Blue Issues

Hey! I'm having some issues with my 2019 Dacia Sandero Diesel. You see, the check engine light is on, I'm unable to successfully regenerate the DPF and there's an odd warning light on the speedo. I suspect the Ad Blue tank might be empty, but I want to hear your take on it. Has anybody here run into a similar problem before? If so, how did your workshop handle the fix? I'd love to hear about your experiences and get a few tips from you petrolheads. Cheers!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my 2017 Dacia Logan Diesel. I'm not a car guru, just someone with a bit of car experience under my belt. Turns out the Ad-Blue level was indeed too low which affects the DPF regeneration. Took it to my usual workshop where they topped up the Ad-Blue. It cost me around 65 Euro. However, your issue could be slightly different. Can you share more about the other symptoms, like the warning light? Perhaps I could help diagnose it better. Cheers!

Thanks for your reply! You hit the nail on the head, the Ad Blue level was indeed down. I had it topped up at a nearby garage and it cost me about 70 Euro. I was extra sure to ask them to reset the system afterwards to clear out the error codes. As for the odd light on the speedometer, it's a little circular icon with an exclamation mark inside. Not sure what that means. Also, I got my last service done when I hit the 71485 KM mark and since then I haven't gone in for any additional services. Maybe it's got something to do with the mileage? Cheers!

Hey! Good on you for topping up the Ad-Blue, that's important to keep the emission control system running smooth. As for the light, if it's a yellow or orange circular icon with an exclamation mark, that's usually the tire pressure monitoring system warning light. Could be a low tire pressure issue, maybe check the pressure on all tires and adjust accordingly. As for the servicing, depending on the mileage and the use of the car, oil changes and filter replacements are recommended. When was the last time you did that? Glad I could help! Cheers!

Ah, gotcha! I really appreciate your help. I reckon the icon could indeed be the tyre pressure warning light, gonna check the pressures first thing tomorrow. As for the last time I got the oil and filters replaced, it's been a while - I guess it was during the last service. Maybe it's time to schedule another service. Thanks a ton for your advice! Cheers!
