Summary of the thread

Hey, cheers for the info! That's certainly something I hadn't considered. Just out of curiosity, do you remember about how much you coughed up for the repair? And have you run into any similar issues since having it fixed? Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hey! I completely understand your worry about costs. I think I shelled out, oh, about 62.50 € to smack down those troubling bubbles under the windshield gel pad. But let me tell you, it was every penny well spent. As for your other question, after getting it fixed by the garage guys, I've had no trouble with the rain-light sensor at all. It’s like a new lease of life for my good ol' Seat Ateca. Hope this eases your mind a bit!

Hey, what a relief! Looks like that wasn't as bad as I feared, cost-wise! Always great when you can avoid costly and extensive repairs, am I right? Thanks a ton for the insight and sharing your experience. Seems like I'm in for a visit to my mechanic after all! Fingers crossed that it goes smoothly. Cheers to many rain-light sensor troubles-free kilometers in future!

Hey there! I had something similar about a year back with my 2017 Seat Ateca. Turns out it wasn't the wipers but bubbles forming under the gel pad of the rain-light sensor on the windshield, that was messing up the readings, causing wiper issues. Not a major fix, just needed to swap out the gel pad and reattach the sensor. The team at the garage took care of it pretty efficiently! Hope this helps you!
