Hey, appreciate the perspective. Checked the coolant level, it's pretty much up to par and thermostat seems to be working fine as well. No biggie, I'll get in touch with my local workshop this week. By the way, my Scrum has been on the road for 139,548 KM now and got its last service almost a month ago. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious, thanks again for your advice.

Hey, no worries, always happy to lend a hand where I can. According to your mileage and recent service, your car should still be in a pretty decent shape. Could be just some minor issue messing with your engine light and causing the overheating. It's good though that you're on top of your coolant level and thermostat game. Remember my case, it was something as small as a faulty cable connection. In your situation, it might be something completely different but still easily fixable. Keep us updated once you visit the mechanic, we'll be interested to know what the culprit was, all the best with it!

Hey there, sounds like a bummer. I had a similar struggle with my 2019 Mazda Scrum Diesel. Trust me, I am not a car guru, just a person with some experience. Anyway, I took it to my local workshop and it turned out to be a Cable connection that was defective. They sorted it out and it cost me 170 Euro. Your case might be different, staying in touch with a workshop is crucial. How's your coolant level and thermostat? Hope this helps.
