Seeking Advice on 2021 Seat Tarraco Hybrid Heating Issues and Mirror Defrosting Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Seat Tarraco Hybrid is experiencing heating issues and a mirror defrosting problem. The heating system is only producing lukewarm air despite the blower functioning correctly, and the mirror won't defrost. Possible causes include a loose cable connection, a stuck blend door, or a faulty thermostat. Suggested solutions involve checking the HVAC system, ensuring all cables are secure, and consulting a mechanic familiar with Seat vehicles to address these issues.

Hey! Thanks for the quick response and the helpful advice. That's a good point, didn't think about checking the cables. I have no warning lights on the dashboard, everything looks normal there. The blower is working fine as well, but its only pushing out lukewarm air even when I crank the heat to the maximum. I got my last service done when the odometer read at about 97275 KM and since then only covered a small distance. It might be time to schedule another one, considering this heating issue. Thanks again for the help, let's hope it's just some dodgy wire!

No worries, happy to help! If there are no warning lights, that's somewhat a relief. And with the blower working fine but not giving much heat, it's seems likely that the issue might be with the HVAC system not getting the command to heat up. Keep in mind that this is just my take on it based on your description, I'm not a certified mechanic or anything. From what you've told, it could possibly be something like a stuck blend door, which controls the amount of heated or cooled air flowing through the system. Or it could be a faulty thermostat, not regulating engine coolant temperature properly. But let's hope it's just a minor glitch or a loose wire or something. Get it to a service center and have them give it a good go over. Preferably someone familiar with Seats. And don't forget to mention about that defrosting mirror as well, just in case it's all connected somehow. Fingers crossed it's nothing too expensive! Keep me updated, will you? Safe driving until then. Cheers!

Cheers! I think you're right. Seems like a problem with the HVAC as you pointed out. Definitely going to mention this to the mechanic or whoever I get it checked by. And yes, that blend door thing sounds plausible too, good shout! I wasn't aware of that, so thank you for making me aware of its pivotal role in heating/cooling. Will also get the mirror checked, I have a feeling you might be onto something with it all possibly being interconnected. I'll make sure to keep you in the loop once I get it sorted. Appreciate your help in narrowing it down! Safe driving to you as well and catch you soon.

Hey there, I had something similar happen on my own 2016 Seat Leon, so I might be able to help here. I'd label myself as having some experience when it comes to cars - I'm no mechanic but I've sorted a few issues out on my own. Turned out it was a cable connection behind the dash that had come loose. It set me back around 155 Euro. Don't fret though, it was a straightforward job for a good mechanic. Could you tell me if there's any warnings on your dash? Also, how's the blower, working fine? It would be better if you could share a bit more about your vehicle condition, might help me give you a more accurate advice. Hope this helps and things get sorted out soon!
