Thanks for your response, really appreciate your insight. Always good to learn from others. My Tarraco's got a few miles on it, around 185152 KM to be exact, but she's generally been a solid ride. The last full service was about six months ago, and everything was fine then. I haven't done any major changes, no parts replacement or tinkering with cables or anything since then. And no oddities till this engine issue started. The air mass sensor theory just popped into my head from previous experiences but clearly, it could be something else. I guess we'll have to let the pros suss this one out. In the meantime, I'll dig around a little deeper and see if I stumble upon something. Again appreciate your assistance! Keep the rubber side down, cheers!
No problem at all! You've got quite a bit on the clock, but these engines are built to last so I wouldn't worry too much. Since all these problems sprouted after the last service, there's a chance something didn't get hooked up correctly during the service, or a part has done its duty and needs replacement (like the Air mass sensor or even injectors). I'd suggest scanning the car's computer for error codes instead of just replacing parts hoping you hit the jackpot. The error code will give you a more precise guess about what might be causing the problem. Your local mechanic or any reputable garage should have the necessary equipment. It's of course frustrating to deal with these kind of issues, but I'm sure it’ll be sorted out in no-time once the problem is identified. In the meantime, it wouldn't do any harm to check the air filter and spark plugs, maybe even the fuel filter. They might simply be dirty or need replacement which could be contributing to the problem. Best of luck with the Tarraco! Drive safe and let us know how it goes!
You're a star! Yeah, I was wondering about something going sideways during the last service. I'll start with a computer scan, like you suggested, and then take a peek at the air filter, spark plugs, and fuel filter. That seems like a solid place to start. You're right, it's a hassle dealing with all this, but hey, that's part of owning a machine, right? Fingers crossed it's something straightforward and not too costly. I'll let you know how it plays out. Thanks again for the sound advice and the quick reply. Take care and happy driving! Cheers!

How urgent is the repair?
Error: Exhaust gas recirculation. Excessive flow detected
And
Mass or volume flow circ. Range/ performance
Based on the error codes you've provided, it seems like there might be an issue with your Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system and the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. These are crucial components for your car's performance and emissions. The EGR system helps reduce the amount of nitrogen oxide that your car produces, and it also helps improve engine efficiency. A problem with this system could lead to poor engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and potentially harmful emissions. The MAF sensor measures the amount of air entering the engine so that the engine control unit can balance and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. A faulty MAF sensor can lead to poor acceleration, engine stalling, and black smoke from the exhaust. Given these potential issues, I would recommend getting your car checked by a professional mechanic as soon as possible. It's not advisable to drive the car with these issues as it could lead to further damage. Please let us know how it goes and if you have any further questions.
Hey there, I can relate to your pain! My 2021 Seat Ateca had a very similar problem not too long ago. Now, I'm not a professional mechanic, but I do have some experience with cars. In my case, the problem turned out to be damage to the cable harness. Sadly, this is not an easy self-fix, so I had to take it into a workshop. The guys did a stellar job, diagnosed the problem pretty quickly, and got it fixed. The total damage to my wallet was about 95.00 Euro. Now, your guess about the air mass sensor might be right since it controls the amount of air going to the engine and if it's faulty, it can cause all sorts of problems. But, in my example, it was the cable harness. Could you provide more details about your car? Like when was the last time you had a thorough check-up, or have you noticed anything peculiar? It might help to narrow down the possible issues. Anyway, I reckon your best bet would be to get it checked by a professional.
